Bake Off Delicious

The Great Malpas Bake Off on Sunday March 20th proved a big success, with many people from the local community attending the event.

Organised as a fund raising event for the July 9th Village Fair, the event proved to be a good community event in its own right.

The event was supported by Huxley's Country Store and the Malpas Co-operative providing the Teas, Coffee and cakes for the refreshments.

There were more entries this year than last and the entries in all classes were to a very high standard with some innovatively decorated cakes and biscuits.
Judges were as follows ; Mrs Sarah Huxley. Mrs Lynn Morrison , Mrs Louise Furnival , Mrs Anne Done.

Mrs Diane Beard gave a Demonstration in how to decorate your cake's for Easter. Mrs Diane Beard was a 2014 contestant for Televisions, "The Great British Bake Off" and gave a very interesting insight of her experience's in the Reality Show .

Some of the Malpas Village Fair committee organised the event and helped giving the local community a very successful day.
