The Festival opens on Thursday evening in The Jubilee Hall with The Art Exhibition featuring the Festival Players production of 'A Dress in the Afternoon'

Internationally renowned psychic and author Liz Dean will talk about her new book 'Switchwords — Say One Word to Get What you Want' at The Malpas Festival Literary Lunch on Friday 20th. Don't miss the chance to listen to Liz while you enjoy a delicious lunch!

The finalists from The Peter Wheeler Short Story Competition read their entries on Saturday morning.
Also commemorating 400 years since the death of The Bard with 'Shake Up Your Shakespeare', a melange of readings and music in St Oswald's Church at 2pm
The celebrated RSC theatre director, Loveday Ingram, will be in conversation that afternoon., and the Malpas Writers Group perform 'Spectrum'.

On Saturday, there is a marathon of music from 2pm till midnight in The Red Lion Inn and evening also sees Welsh mezzo soprano, Sioned Terry, singing in St Oswald's Church.

On Sunday there is a Celebrity Charity Cricket Match between the cast of Channel 4 TV's 'Hollyoaks' and The Malpas Festival XI.
