WEST CHESHIRE SIXTH FORMERS CELEBRATE A-LEVEL SUCCESS
Sixth formers in West Cheshire are celebrating A-level success today (Thursday 18 August).
A total of 2,000 students from 15 schools, academies and colleges across West Cheshire sat the examinations.
Pupils have returned an overall pass rate of 97 percent compared with 98 percent nationally.
At the highest A* grade the West Cheshire results were seven percent of all awards, compared to the national figure of eight percent.
And 24 percent of students gained a higher grade A* — A pass compared to 26 percent nationally.
