The Barika Pre-school is an integrated part of the Malpas Alport Primary School.
There once was an elephant called Barika. Unlike all other elephants, who never forget, Barika forgot everything.
He would forget which waterhole was best for wallowing. He'd forget were he last left his herd. He'd forget his friends birthdays and sometimes their names, too.
He'd even forget he had a trunk, and was forever tripping over it.
So to help him with his memory, he set up a pre-school with Sara. At the pre-school, the children learn through playing; and because play is so much fun, the children become absorbed in it, which helps, them and Barika, to remember what they've learnt.
