Speeding on Church Street and Wrexham Road
Because of the traffic speeds on Church Street and Wrexham Road , a number of the residents are coming together to form a Community Speed Watch.
Over the next few weeks they will be out and about in the village asking people to sign up to the Community Safer Driving Campaign.
This will be followed up with a roadside presence with Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) and Speeding Gun activities.
Residents of Cuddington and Threapwood will also be getting involved in an attempt to combat the excessive speeding that exists on the entire length of the B5069 between Malpas and Threapwood.
The campaign is being strongly supported by both Cheshire West Council and the Police, and it is expected that persistent offenders will be prosecuted.
The Speed watch team will be in attendance to give an update at the Volunteers Evening will is being held at 7:00pm on Monday 24th October in the Young Persons Centre off Chester Road.
Come along and find out what it is all about.
