12,000 Years of History Heritage Open Days.
A number of local places are open during Heritage weekend ( 7th — 10th September) including St Ediths Church at Shocklach, Stretton Water Mill, and St. Chads Church in Farndon.
On Friday 8th September, as part of the Heritage Open Days, Malpas historian David Hayns will be leading a Malpas Walking Tour.
Starting on the steps of St Oswald's Church at 10am, the tour will take in the Castle mound and the former Market Place, then focus on places of worship, schools and hostelries.
Places on the tour must be pre-booked by contacting Chester History & Heritage on 01244 972210.
Anyone who turns up without booking can not be guaranteed a place.
