At the Annual Parish Council meeting on Monday 9th May, Councillor Charles Lowick Higgie was elected to serve as Chairman for the coming year and Councillor Carol Broad was elected Vice-chairman.
Councillor Lowick Higgie a supply teacher, lives locally and has a long connection with the village. He was re-elected to the Parish Council last year. He has previously held the post of Vice Chairman on three occasions,1987-8, 2007-8 and 2015-16. He is very keen to keep local clubs and organisations going.
Councillor Broad was elected to the Parish Council in 2015 and is Chair of the Planning group which assess all planning applications in the village. Actively involved in village life, she participates in a number of local organisations. She joined the Parish Council to make a difference and to contribute to the local community.
The outgoing Chairman, Councillor John Webb who was thanked for his work as Chairman over the past three years, presented his annual report. This report can be found on the Parish Council page of this website.
