This years village fair was hailed a great success with hundreds of villagers turning out to take part in the parade. Residents alongside the Lady Mayor and Mayoress; who kindly attended and opened festivities on the recreation ground, gathered along the route of the parade to cheer the procession on its way.
Despite a rather wet start to the day the weather turned fine just in time, allowing events on the recreation ground to be well attended and enjoyed by both young and old. In the central arena the village enjoyed sheep racing, dog agility displays and a wonderful performance by the Glo Cheerleaders. With various stalls there was plenty to keep us entertained, the children favouring the bouncy castle and fun fair and the adults the beer tent and various food stalls.
