Born at Kidnal, I have lived in Malpas village centre for over 37 years.
I have spent 40 years working for BT and its predecessor companies, latterly as a Data Analysis and Change Manager working on Business Improvement Projects.
I joined the Parish Council in 2008 to help improve the social, economic, and environment life of village residents, through the establishment of a strategic long term plan for the future growth.
I was Vice-Chairman from 2009 until May 2015, leading and participating in a number of initiatives, including the Village Design Statement, the formation of Malpas Biznet and Malpas Community Links, and more recently The Malpas and Overton Neighbourhood Plan
I served on the Cheshire West Borough Council as Malpas Ward Councillor from May 2015 until May 2019 working on trying to increase the infrastructure that our village needed to support the high volumne of development we are now seeing. I pledge to support our new Ward Councillor, Rachel Williams with the knowledge and contacts I have made during that four year period.
I am also actively involved in wildlife conservation, being Secretary of The Broxton Barn Owl Group.
I was bestowed with the honour of a life-long membership of the Malpas Vintage Machinery Association for the time I spent as show director between 1977 and 1984.
I am currently the Chairman of the Malpas Recreation Ground Management Trust and a Trustee of Malpas and District Community Land Trust
