Rector's Ramble — Saturday 8th June

Supporting our local Churches

Do you want a personal challenge?
Yes, then consider joining our Rector, Ian Davenport and the Reverend, Helen Molesworth on Saturday 8th June on their own 2019 personal challenges.

The challenge is a sponsored walk, the proceeds of which will go to the United Benefice of St Oswald's, Malpas, St. John's, Threapwood and Holy Trinity, Bickerton.

Alternatively if you feel you are unable to take part, then please consider sponsoring either Ian, Helen or another family member or friend to complete the walk on your behalf.

Two walks are available depending on the individuals' capability.
Route 1: Bickerton Village Hall to St Oswald's Church, Malpas -- (Approx. 8 Miles)
Registration 9:30 am — Walk start time: 10:00 am

Route 2: St John's Church Threapwood to St Oswald's Church, Malpas -- (Approx. 4.5 miles)
Registration 10:30 am — Walk start time 11:00 am

Both routes finish at St Oswald's Church, Malpas, (approximately 1:00 pm) where refreshments will be served.) Water stops and rest halts arranged for both routes.

Taking Part:
The Ramble is open to anyone who is physically capable of completing the walk.
It is not expected that entries will be taken on the day of the event, and places on the walks are limited, so booking in advance is essential.

To book a place or obtain a sponsorship form visit Rachel Williams at Honeybee Florist on Malpas High Street or e-mail editor@malpascheshire.org

Dogs are allowed to accompany walkers, but must be kept under control.

Participants should wear suitable clothing and foot ware, and also carry a mobile telephone, and any refreshments they require.
There will be a maximum limit of 50 walkers on each route.

Entry Fees:
Each walk will have an entry fee, of £10 for adults and £2.50 for Children under 18.
Refreshments at the finishing point (St Oswald's Church) will be included.

After any unavoidable expenses have been covered, any remaining monies collected, will be donated to the United Benefice of St Oswald's Malpas, St John's Threapwood and Holy Trinity Bickerton churches.

Sponsorship:
In addition to the fee for joining one of the walks, we would ask people to consider raising sponsorship funding for Ian Davenport and Helen Molesworth or themselves to complete the challenge.

Supervisors:
Each walk will have a leader and other supervisors to provide assistance where required.
