Born in Liverpool on 19th September 1887 (baptised 6th November 1887).
Second son of Archibald Malcolm and Charlotte Eliza McIntyre of Oat Hills, Malpas.
Archibald senior was the engineer in charge of Malpas reservoir.

Archibald left for Australia on 21st May 1910 on the SS Everton Grange, sponsored by his great-uncle, James Duke, of Queensland.
He lived and worked in Queensland, initially as an engineer and latterly with his cousin, Will Duke, growing bananas in Eumundi, Queensland.
He enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force on 3rd September 1917, leaving for the Western Front on 16th November 1917 on the SS Canberra.
Archibald is also commemorated on the Roll of Honour, Australian War Memorial, Campbell, Australia, on the Eumundi & District Roll of Honour, on the Nambour (Maroochy Shire) Roll of Honour, and at the Masonic Centre, Cooroy.

Will of Archibald Maltman McIntyre
I Archibald Maltman McIntyre of Eumundi in the State of Queensland Fruitgrower and now a member of the Australian Imperial Forces hereby revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament I give devise and bequeath all my property both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever unto my Mother Charlotte Eliza McIntyre wife of Archibald Malcolm McIntyre of Malpas Cheshire England, Resident Water Engineer, absolutely and in case she predecease me then to my father the said Archibald Malcolm McIntyre and in case he predecease me also then to my brother William absolutely.
And I appoint my said Mother or in case she predecease me my said father or in case he predecease me then my said brother to be the sole Executor of this Will.
As witness my hand to this my Will this twenty fifth day of October one thousand nine hundred and seventeen
Signed by the said Testator Archibald Maltman McIntyre as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
