Born in Stoak, Cheshire in 1891.

Third son of John and Hannah Davies of Edge Grange, Malpas.

Arthur worked on his father’s farm.

On the 12th March 1919 Administration with the Will of the estate of this Testator was granted at Chester to Lilian Davies and Mary Davies, two of the Residuary Legatees.
