Born in Malpas in 1893 (baptised 23rd August 1893)

Second son of John and Elizabeth Fleet of Church Street, Malpas.

The 1911 Census shows Edgar as a postman in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Edgar’s younger brother, Wilfred, also lost his life in the Great War'
