Born in Oldcastle, Malpas, Cheshire in 1883 (baptised 30th December 1883)

Second son of William and Elizabeth Stevenson of Booth Cottages, Threapwood, Malpas.

The 1911 Census shows Edward as a farm labourer.

Edward Stevenson worked for many years for Mr T Bevin of Overton.

Edward’s younger brother Joseph also lost his life in the Great War.
