Eldest son of the late John and Elizabeth Woodfield of Worthenbury, Flintshire.

The 1911 Census records George living with his brother John at Barton Mere, Malpas and employed as a mill waggoner.

Died of Pneumonia returning from Western Front at Pembroke Dock on 24th November 1918. Aged 29.

Buried in Malpas Cemetery, West Plot 696.
