Born in Malpas, Cheshire in 1886.

Fourth son of the James Allman and the Elizabeth Allman of Malpas, Cheshire.

Husband of Martha Allman of 7 Stafford Street, Birkenhead. (Married in 1909).

George married Martha in 1909, and Martha Allman is identified as the recipient of his war pension.

The 1911 Census shows George as a metal machinist.

George embarked on 16/8/1914.

Service records for Pte George Allman 7461 Cheshire Regiment survive, albeit in a partly burned state. They confirm that his parents were both dead.

Killed in action in Belgium on 24th August 1914. Aged 28.

Buried in Audregnies Communal Cemetery, Belgium. 1.B.20.

Military records on 7/9/1914 state that George Allman, 7461 as missing since 24/8/1914.

It is not clear when they concluded he had been killed.
