Born in Inverness, Scotland  in 1889.

Son of Alexander and Annie Mackay

There is no reference to this family in the Scottish census records.

1901 census shows a Dutton family living in High Street, Malpas. 

Annie Bertha Dutton was born and grew up in Malpas with her parents and all her siblings.

She met George when she was living Chester and they were married on 14th August 1915.

.

Almost a year before, on 12th October 1914, George had enlisted; his occupation being recorded as chauffeur.

The 29 year old was serving in Iraq as a master mechanic in August 1918 when he died of his wounds.

George enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps on 12 October 1914.

Rank before transfer from R.N.A.S. or R.F.C. – Tp. S.M. 

The 29 year old was serving in Iraq as a master mechanic when sustained a chest wound in Baghdad on 29 July 1918.

He died of his wounds on 10 August 1918.
