Born in Malpas in 1878.

Third son of the late Stephen Gibbons and Catherine Gibbons of Malpas.

The Gibbons had eight children.

The 1911 Census shows Stephen as a domestic groom living at The Beeches, Overton, Malpas.

Not sure of link at this time, but the son of Ernest and Emma Gibbons, of Malpas, was baptised on 22 April 1917 as Frank Ackerley Verdun.
