I joined the Parish Council very recently, in October 2023.

I relocated to Malpas from Manchester in 2018 to join my husband who was born and raised here. Originally from a small village in Germany (quite similar to Malpas in many respects) I have been resident in the UK since 1990 and have dual British/German citizenship.

I feel strongly about infrastructural issues, esp. traffic, speeding, parking, space for cyclists and pedestrians, and green spaces, and I am equally committed to community and civic responsibility.

Another interest of mine are culture and (continuing) education. I am an Arts and Humanities professor and senior research manager at Manchester Metropolitan University, with many years of experience in institutional leadership, liaison with external stakeholders and partnership building, as well as public engagement.

Malpas is a splendid place to live but there is of course always room for improvement.
