HIGHWAYS IMPROVEMENT WORK

CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING WORKS – OLD HALL STREET, MALPAS

7TH DECEMBER TO 15TH DECEMBER 2023 ( EXCLUDING WEEKENDS)

We will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works to improve Old Hall Street between the junction with Mastiff Lane and Tilston Road. Please note essential information about these works below:

Works will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th December and Monday 11th up to and including Friday 15th December

To minimise disruption, we will be working during the night between 20:00-06:00 (8pm-6am).

A road closure will be in place during these times. Please make sure that all vehicles are removed from the road works area itself between the hours of 19:45 – 06:30 ( 7:45pm to 6:30am) this will help us undertake the work safely and keep disruption to a minimum.

Please note that these works are weather dependent, and dates may change subject to weather conditions.

A road closure will be required to ensure both the safety of the public and work force. Old Hall Street (including High Street) through this section will be fully closed to traffic. A diversion route will be in place. Please see the detailed map overleaf.

We appreciate that this work will cause disruption, however access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible. Vulnerable residents and businesses with special access needs (for carers, essential deliveries, and potential medical emergencies) are encouraged to contact CWandCHighways@Colas.co.uk

If unplanned access is needed in and out of the working area, please proceed to the point of closure and inform the gateman of where you are intending to get to. When safe to do so, will you be allowed access through the working site. Please remember there will be an amount of waiting time and that there will be operatives using heavy machinery within the road so please proceed with caution and at a speed of no more than 10 mph.

A certain amount of inconvenience is inevitable with work of this type and we greatly appreciate your patience whilst the works are being undertaken. As a member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, we will take all available steps to minimise noise and disruption.
