Legacy for Malpas

Malpas Parish Council has been informed of a legacy left to Malpas from the estate of the late Michael Maurice Schroeder.

The Parish Council are purchasing a Difibrillator which will be located at the Victoria Jubilee Hall on High Street.

The only information know is that as a child, Michael was a World War 2 evacuee to the area from Liverpool (Sefton Park school).

It is clear that to leave a legacy to the village, Michael must have very much enjoyed his time in the area.

If anyone can recall providing homes for evacuees or better still actually remembers Michael, we would very much like to learn more about what life was like for them.
