However, there are reports that he was buried in a Mass Blitz grave at the Dale camp in Chester.

Son of John & Annie (Nee Hall) Young of Higher Wych.
Injured in a road accident on 21/22 January 1940 at Grindley Brook whilst on leave in the UK.
Believed to have been knocked down by a car. Taken to Chester Royal Infirmary.

It has been identified that Bernard has a CWGC grave in the Liverpool (Anfield) Cemetery but he was actually buried in a mass grave for blitz victims of Liverpool.
Bernard definitely died on 7/5/1941. It is thought that the accident on the A41 was unconnected with his death.
He was buried in a blitz grave in Liverpool. The heaviest nights of the Liverpool blitz were 1 to 7 May 1941
