Born in Wrexham in1922. Birth registered in Q3 1922.
Son of Richard Kilby & Annie C (Nee Ashton) Jones.
Old boy of Malpas Alport Primary School and employee of The Lodge, Wrexham Road, Malpas.
The family lived in Edge in 1945.

Injured on 21 September 1941 in an aircraft accident (Oxford AB664) at Grantham.
He was a member of the crew of Halifax II bomber JP173 which crashed into the sea off Kristiansand, Norway whilst attacking German shipping.
All 9 crew members lost their lives in the incident.
Flight Engineer, Jack Jones, RAF son of Mr & Mrs Kilby Jones of Edge is missing as result of air operations on 20 February 1945.
Terry Fry It's interesting that I got the following reply from Soren Flensted ("air war over Denmark" website)
"I have the aircraft registered as having crashed into the sea somewhere east of the Norwegian town of Kristiansand while attacking some ships."
