Saturday 10th May – The village parade

Saturday May 10th has been set as the main celebration day and will include a parade through the village centre.

This will start at 12:30 pm from Corbett's Field on Well Meadow proceeding up Springfield Road, Old Hall Street, High Street and onto the Recreation Ground.

The above route will be officially closed to all traffic between 12:30pm and 1:30pm.

If you live in these areas and are planning a trip out during these times, then could you please park your vehicles in another location?

Many of our residents visit the High Street to watch the parade, so could we respectfully ask High Street residents and village visitors to clear the High Street of all vehicles during this period.

On the Recreation Ground it is planned to hold displays, craft stalls, musical entertainment and arena events.

The afternoon will also include a flypast of the Battle of Britain memorial flight.

In the evening, we have arranged a concert by the Chester Big Band.
This will start around 7:00pm and continue until around 9:00pm.

Please be aware, particularly if you have pets or other animals, that at the end of the music there will be a fireworks display taking place.

The evening entertainment will finish on the Recreation Ground and the licensed bar will be closed at 10:00pm.
