Dear Resident,
As we approach the end of 2023 I want to wish you a merry Christmas and all the very best for 2024.
It's been a busy year with many highlights, and I've been sharing just a few of them over the '12 days of Christmas'.
Making Cheshire even safer isn't an easy task, but it would simply be impossible without working in partnership and I want to thank everyone who has contributed towards this goal.
So, I've been shining the spotlight on how the police, partners and communities all working together has made a difference in 2023.
Please do take a few minutes to watch the video series. You can find them all by clicking on the first one here.
I want to end by sharing Cheshire Constabulary's message to everyone this Christmas: Engaging in criminal behaviour at this time of year doesn't just ruin everyone else's Christmas – You will ruin your own.
More than 600 charges were secured for offences committed last Christmas and the police will be out and visible across Cheshire's communities to ensure everyone can enjoy Christmas and New Year in peace. So make the right choice.
Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter and for all of your feedback in 2023.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I look forward to working together to make Cheshire even safer in 2024.
Best Wishes,
John Dwyer
Police and Crime Commissioner for Cheshire
