Farndon 10k – Temporary Traffic Prohibition

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on following roads in the Parish of Farndon, Stretton, Tilston and Carden to enable the Farndon 10k event to be carried out by organiser.

The Order will come into force from 09:00 on the 24th of September 2023 and will continue in force for an anticipated duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Roads to be closed:

  • Wetreins Lane (from B5069 Flennens Brook Road/Worthenbury Road to Stretton Hall Lane)
  • Stretton Hall Lane (from Carden Lane to Stretton Mill Lane)
  • Carden Lane (from Stretton Hall Lane to Stretton Mill Lane)
  • Stretton Mill Lane (from Carden Lane to Stretton Hall Lane)

Alternative Route for Traffic:
While the closures are in operation, traffic will be diverted via B5069 Flennens Brook Road/Worthenbury Road, A534 Barton Road/Broxton Road, A41 Whitchurch Road and Duckington Lane.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
