The last collections for this subscription year will take place between Monday 20 November and Friday 1 December.

Once collected by the crews, all garden waste is sent to a local open air composting facility.
Useable compost is formed through an aerobic process. This means the garden waste is turned regularly to help the oxygen in the air to breakdown the waste over time.
It is therefore helpful to ensure that any garden waste is presented on the last collection day so it can go through this process.
If garden waste is left in the bin for too long, it starts to breakdown in a way which can slow-down the open-air composting process.
If you produce garden waste during winter, you can dispose of it at your local household waste recycling centre for composting.
Alternatively, you could pile it up in a sheltered place in your garden, and then place it into your garden waste bin once the 2024 service starts again.
In December you will be informed on how to renew your garden waste subscription for 2024, the service starts again on 26 February 2024.
