A selection of beautifully designed guest bedrooms are now open for bookings at The Lion at Malpas, shortly after the long-awaited opening of the main pub to the public a few weeks ago.
Alongside the main eating and drinking areas, outside terrace and Brereton entertaining suite, The Lion is also home to 16 stylish bedrooms that are nestled within a mini village-style setting.
The Lion is located in the heart of Malpas, offering a number of things to do for a few days away.
The rooms are also perfect for nearby residents wishing to enjoy a 'home from home' style relaxing retreat on their doorstep.
Rooms include the Village style, which are unique and individually designed bedrooms.
There's a selection of double and twin rooms, with prices starting from £120.
There are also 8 Country suites on site, larger rooms furnished with a luxurious bed and flat screen TV.
Prices start from £140.
Accompanying the Village and Country rooms is the Bakery suite, a duplex suite with a number of desirable amenities.
It boasts 2 floors with a separate living area, as well as views of Malpas from the window.
It's also believed that this is the very window that Lloyd George addressed the villagers of Malpas from shortly before becoming prime minister.
Prices start from £180 and there is just one exclusive Bakery suite at The Lion.
The site itself has a rich and historic heritage dating back to 16th century, the restoration has been over a year in the making and now local residents can enjoy their much-loved pub once more.
Those from further afield can travel to Malpas to see all that The Lion, as well as the wider village, has to offer.
Bethan Rose-Bailey, General Manager of The Lion at Malpas says "We've put a lot of work into making the bedrooms at The Lion unique and beautiful, creating the perfect space for a relaxing break in Malpas. We're very excited to open them to locals and beyond."
In line with the Covid-19 guidelines, the newly opened rooms will be thoroughly cleaned between visits.
Within the pub and Brereton suite, sanitisation points are positioned at entrances and exits, track and trace is in place, single use menus are being used, with limits on room capacities.
2m distancing is adhered to and staff are wearing face coverings, in line with current Government guidelines -- the pub will also close at 10pm.
You can find out more information about the rooms at The Lion, as well as make a booking, on the pub's brand new website at: https://thelionatmalpas.co.uk/ or by calling 01948 807070.
