Notice of Parish Council Meeting

The Annual Meeting (First) of Malpas Parish Council was scheduled to take place on Monday 10th May 2021.

Following the recent High Court Judgement on remote meetings, the legal position is that local councils need to meet face-to-face, rather than remotely, and be open in attendance in person from the public.

Any face-to-face meeting should be held in line with restrictions and public health advice in place at the time.

So, in practical terms, local councils will have no choice but to control the numbers of people physically in the meeting room at any one time in order to comply with the Government's Covid restrictions.

Covid restrictions are due to be lifted on 17th May 2021.

It is hoped to hold a face-to-face meeting of the Parish Council after this date in accordance with Covid regulations.

Therefore, the Annual Meeting (First) of Malpas Parish Council has been re-scheduled to take place on Wednesday 26th May 2021 in the Jubilee Hall, Malpas.
