Garden waste collections for the 2022 service ended on 2 December.
There will be a 12-week suspension with 2023 collections starting from 27 February 2023.

Residents who subscribed to the 2022 service and provided an email address will receive reminder emails with a link to the new subscription form.
The collection service will be offered over 40 weeks of the year
2023 collections will take place between 27 February 2023 and 1 December 2023
The Council will continue to offer the service for £40 per bin for 2023 regardless of when the resident subscribes
Residents are strongly encouraged to apply before the service starts to receive all 20 collections.
For 2023, the Council will continue to offer a £10 cost reduction for those in receipt of Full Council Tax Reduction (FCTR) benefit at the point of application. Residents will be asked to provide details/ evidence as part of the application process.
2023 permits will be posted to residents within 10 working days following subscription
The new online subscription form will allow residents the opportunity to sign up to regular news and updates about Waste and Recycling, using the Gov Delivery system.
How is this being communicated with residents:
From January 2023, a multi-channel communications campaign will begin – with information on the website, social media, local radio and in newspapers. There will also be posters in Council buildings, such as libraries.
New calendars will be delivered via Royal Mail at the beginning of December 2022
To ensure awareness for all residents, reminder stickers will be placed on all domestic waste (black) bins over a 6-week period between January and February 2023.
The easiest and quickest way to subscribe and pay is online, however people will also be able to call the contact centre or visit one of our libraries where residents without online access can be supported to subscribe if they would like to.
